هو اختبار كفايات اللغة الانجليزية وهو اختصار Standardized Test of English Proficiency حيث ينفذ المركز الوطني للقياس في المملكة العربية السعودية لهذا الاختبار ويقدم نتائجه للجهات المستفيدة، وهو عبارة عن 100 سؤال من نوع الاختبار من متعدد وتتم الاجابة عليه، وتتوزع الأسئلة كالتالي:
- فهم المقروء 40%
- التراكيب النحوية 30%
- فهم المسموع 20%
- التحليل الكتابي 10%

نموذج اختبار ستيب مع الحل أسئلة اختبار ستيب لا تعتمد اعتمادا مباشرا على المعلومات التي يتم الحصول عليها من المقررات الدراسية أو من مراجع وكتب معينة، ولكن يعتمد الاختبار على الحصيلة العامة للغة الانجليزية للمتقدم من خلال تجاربه الحياتية المتراكمة، ومن المهم الاطلاع على طريقة الأسئلة وطريقة الاجابة عليها وهو ما يساعد المختبر على أداء الاختبار ومعرفة جوانبه الدقيقة والصحيحة.
أهم الارشادات الخاصة باختبار ستيب
نموذج اختبار ستيب مع الحل
1- اختبار ستيب هو اختبار محوسب أي أنه هو مفتوح على مدار العام، فيمكن للمختبر التسجيل في أي وقت من العام والمكان المناسب عن طريق الموقع الإلكتروني للمركز.
2- يجب على المختبر الحضور في المكان واليوم والموعد الذي يتم فيه تسجيل الاختبار.
3- في حال كان لدى المختبر أي استفسار أو طلب مساعدة فيجب عليه أن يرفع يده حتى يأتي من يساعده من المشرفين.
4- جميع أسئلة الاختبار من نوع الاختيار من متعدد (أ، ب، ج، د)، عدا التعبير الكتابي.
5- المدة اللازمة لأداء الاختبار هي ساعتان ونصف (2:30) حسب أداء الطالب، حيث يتم الاختبار على الكمبيوتر.
6- يجب على المختبر الوصول قبل موعد الاختبار بـ (15) دقيقة، وأن يكون مستعدا للجلوس حوالي (2:45) ساعتين وخمس وأربعين دقيقة.
